With a heavy heart we would like to inform you of the passing of one of our former SLV teachers. Over the weekend, Janelle Geist, a Resource Specialist Teacher for SLVUSD Charter passed away in her sleep. Ms. Geist worked for the SLV TEAM since August 2022 and had recently resigned to focus on the family business.

Mr. Schiermeyer, Superintendent, presented SLV's State-of-the-District Report during the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of April 17, 2024. The presentation is accessible here by simply clicking on this article.

SLVUSD scheduled a storm make-up day for Monday, April 8th in the event it was needed. Boulder Creek Elementary School was closed due to power outages earlier in this school year. Therefore, BCE WILL BE IN SESSION for a storm make-up day on Monday, April 8th. ALL OTHER SCHOOLS are NOT IN SESSION until Tuesday, April 9th.

During the Month of March, Superintendent Schiermeyer attends parent and staff meetings for all SLV schools to present the District's LCAP information and to seek input for the following year's Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). Although there may be a few District Office staff working over the week of February 19-23, 2024, the District Office is CLOSED to the public.
We will reopen for regular business on Monday, February 26, 2024.

The AP Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP Programs are broadening access and delivering results for students. Schools can earn the Honor Roll recognition annually based on their ability to increase their school's college-going culture, to provide opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximize college readiness. SLVHS currently offers 18 sections of 13 AP courses. In a school of 625 students, there are 381 AP seats being filled each week...
