TEACHER OF THE YEAR - 2022

Santa Cruz County’s Teacher of the Year – Ms. Janet Stahl, SLVE Teacher, will be recognized as Teacher of the Year on Thursday, May 19 at 4:00pm at the County Office of Education Board Meeting.

Janet is a talented and caring educator whose passion for growing our future adults is unsurpassable. Janet always puts students first and gives countless hours of her time and energy to our youth.

SUMMER LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

The Summer Learning Opportunities (K-12) will run from Tuesday, June 14 - Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 8:30am to 12:30pm (no classes held on Friday, June 17, 24, July 1, July 8, or Monday, July 4). Course offerings are listed on the enrollment form. The deadline for submitting registration requests will be May 27, 2022.

COVID-19 Vaccination Opportunity

SLV Rotary Club is hosting a series of vaccine clinics starting December 1st on Wednesdays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Felton Community Hall next to the Felton Fire Department.

SLVUSD BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPOINTS NEW SUPERINTENDENT

Ms. Levine, President, read the following statement during the action item to appoint the new Superintendent.
"The District contracted with Leadership Associates to conduct a nationwide search. As a result, eighteen individuals submitted applications to be considered. Following the competitive search and selection process, I am delighted to announce that Mr. Christopher Schiermeyer has been selected as the new Superintendent of SLVUSD. Chris brings with him an in-depth knowledge of our district, an understanding of our finances, and a comprehension of the management of our campuses.
