FRIDAY, MARCH 24, 2023

Please note the following bus routes are impacted:

Bunny Route – Bus stops not accessible after Mountain Store and no Bear Creek stops are accessible. Students may be dropped off at Boulder Creek Fire House or West Park Avenue by 7:10am.

Panther Route – Bus stops not accessible after Ridge Drive. Students may be dropped off at Boulder Creek Fire House by 7:10am.

SLV Elementary, SLV Middle School, SLV High School and SLV Charter will all be open tomorrow, Thursday, March 23, 2023

BCE will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday, March 23, 2023 as currently that campus does not have power. However, should PGE be able to restore power by 6 am tomorrow morning, an “ALL CALL” will be sent out to BCE families indicating that school will be open.

Wednesday, MARCH 22, 2023 - PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE

All SLVUSD schools will be closed for Wednesday, March 22nd. There was extensive damage caused as a result of yesterday’s strong winds and rain. A large number of trees and power lines are down and many roads are impassable. BCE has no power, SLVE and SLVMS have partial power and transportation is not able to run any routes due to closures. SLVUSD feels that it will be safer for our community to stay off of the roads to allow for PG&E and other emergency clean up organizations to restore our power and clear our roads for our safety. Thank you for your understanding and we hope that everyone stays safe.

ALL SLVUSD SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED TODAY!
All SLV schools will be closed for Friday, February 24th. The SLV Storm Team made this determination based on slippery road conditions, downed trees, the inability to drive many of our bus routes, and the current power outages in the valley. As we continue to adhere to the Santa Cruz County warning to avoid travel within the Santa Cruz Mountains and erring on the side of caution, we feel this is the best decision to keep our families safe during this unusual weather pattern.
Although this is NOT a requirement, if you are interested in an independent study opportunity related to this school closure, please contact your school site.
