POTENTIAL SCHOOL CLOSURE...

Greetings to all- I know you have all been concerned about the PG&E notification about potential power outages on Wed. and Thurs. (Oct. 9 & 10) in the San Lorenzo Valley and in the SLVUSD schools. We will be closely monitoring the National Weather Service and in communication with PG&E to determine the likelihood of power outages. We will try to notify both staff, and parents in a timely manner.

As most of you are aware, SLVUSD has had to close schools, due to weather, on several occasions in the past. It is always our priority to provide students with the best education possible, while providing a safe learning environment.

In SLV, if our facilities do not have electricity for several days, it could present a problem with not only lighting, but with the systems on campus that provide air, heat, water, food, and sanitation. We will keep you informed as to the most up to date information. Thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter. Together we will make a difference in the lives of students in the San Lorenzo Valley. - Laurie
