IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION UPDATES:
Bus Route Changes~
Due to declining enrollment, beginning January 20th 2026, we will be eliminating the Panther Route. This decision was not made lightly. Please read on to understand how these changes may affect your student(s) moving forward.
Elimination of the Panther Route will require a Bunther Route every day in the afternoon. This is something that is already quite common for our school bus drivers and riders, so it would not be much different than it currently is. ALL stops will be added to the afternoon Bunther Route, including those on HWY 236. As far as the morning school bus route, those students who are picked up along 236 and attend the middle school will need to make their way to town and can hop on the Bunny Bus across from Ace Hardware (METRO STOP). Students also have the option to take the METRO free of charge. Boulder Creek Elementary students at the Brookdale and Ben Lomond stops would also move to the morning Bunny Route, as they already travel that way. The pickup times will be roughly the same. Boulder Creek Elementary students who are picked up along 236 will no longer have bus transportation in the morning. We are offering an alternative for these students; they can be dropped off (by a parent, guardian, etc.) at West Park by Schwarzbach Realtors, for a FREE shuttle to BCE at 8:07 AM to avoid traffic and parking issues. We will be offering refunds for those affected who are losing their morning transportation. Refunds WILL NOT be given to those who choose to make their way to the Ace Hardware stop and take the bus from there to the middle school. We appreciate your understanding. SLVUSD does not charge recipients for text messages, however certain wireless providers may charge for individual text messages, depending on the plan associated with the wireless device.
