At the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on January 16, 2019, the following two staff members received recognition for going "Above and Beyond" using creativity, kindness, and grace in their daily work to serve students in San Lorenzo Valley.
Charlotte Achen, College and Career Specialist - SLVHS, was nominated by Ms. Danielle Winters, Assistant Princial-SLVHS. Ms. Winters stated, "Charlotte creatively engages students and their families in career and college planning. She is an integral part of the high school community. Thank You."
Julie Walker, Facilities Project Lead, was nominated by Mr. Chris Schiermeyer, Deputy Superintendent. Mr. Schiermeyer reported that in the absence of the Director of M.O.T., Julie went above and beyond ensuring the department continued to run smoothly. She worked seamlessly with various vendors and contractors to complete ongoing projects, as well as to regularly meet with the Maintenance and Operations crew to ensure that any department needs were met and that routine work continued as needed.
