The San Lorenzo Valley Unified School Board is in the process of conducting an Executive Search for the SLV District's next Superintendent. Leadership Associates, an executive search firm, was selected to advise the Board in this important process.
Please check this webpage for ongoing updates and important announcements regarding this process.
Mr. Phil Quon and Mr. Fred Van Leuven, Consultants of Leadership Associates, held both the Community Input and the Community Open Forum Sessions. All of these sessions were conducted via zoom.
Community Input Sessions were held on Tuesday, April 13 and Wednesday, April 14, 2021 beginning at 8:00am and ending at 4:10pm.
Specific stakeholder groups were identified by the Board of Trustees at the Special Board Meeting of Wednesday, March 24, 2021. These identified groups were invited to the scheduled Community Input Sessions via an email invitation.
Two Community Open Forums were also held for anyone that would like to attend that was not included in an identified stakeholder group. The Community Open Forum sessions were held on Tuesday, April 13 and Wednesday, April 14 from 5:00pm - 6:00pm. These were open to parents, staff, and other community members.
The purpose of these sessions was to receive input concerning the desired qualities and characteristics of the next Superintendent. This input will be a valuable contribution to the recruitment and selection process.
The following questions were asked during these sessions:
- What personal and professional qualities are desired for the next Superintendent of the San Lorenzo Valley USD?
- What are the strengths and the challenges of the District?
SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH ONLINE SURVEY
The SLVUSD Board of Trustees is asking for your help in selecting our next Superintendent. To ensure that this is a collaborative and inclusive process, the Board is providing an anonymous online survey and encourages your participation.
This online survey will ask you to respond to several critical questions. The information generated from this anonymous survey will be used to develop a profile which indicates desired qualities and characteristics in the next SLV Superintendent. It will also guide the recruitment and reference checking process, as well as development of questions for the interview. This survey also seeks your perspectives on District strengths, challenges, and the SLV community. The Leadership Associates consultants will compile a report summarizing survey results and share them with the Board.
The online survey will be open from Monday, March 29th through Thursday, April 15th. The survey link is provided below.
PLEASE NOTE: If you would prefer to complete a hard copy survey, copies will be available in each school office and the SLV District Office on Monday, March 29th.
