The San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District Office of Instructional Services offers support to teachers and staff through workshops, classes, staff development, curriculum materials, teaching guides, resources, information, and our district mentors.
The SARC is the School Accountability Report Card. This document is updated every year, and it provides information to the community to allow for public comparisons of California public and non-public schools. Student achievement data, facilities, demographics, teacher certification, and more information is all included in the SARC.

Bring Your Own Device
SLVUSD is currently implementing a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program for 5th – 12th grade students in our district. Our plan is that all students will bring a laptop to school each day for use in the classroom. If your student does not currently have a laptop, we recommend purchasing a Chromebook. There are also Chromebooks available as long-term loaners. For more information, please visit byod.slvusd.org.

Common Core Information
The Common Core State Standard Initiative is an educational initiative from 2010 that details what K-12 students throughout the United States should know in English Language Arts and mathematics at the conclusion of each school grade. The initiative is sponsored by the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and seeks to establish consistent educational standards across the states as well as ensure that students graduating from high school are prepared to enter credit-bearing courses at two- or four-year college programs or to enter the workforce. SLVUSD has curriculum materials and professional development opportunities that are in alignment to the Common Core Standards.
SLVUSD has a GATE program for students in grades 4 – 12. In 2015-2016, we revised our GATE Plan to ensure that we have comprehensive services for students and families. For the 2018-2019 school year, we will be updating the plan based on current needs. Each school has a GATE Coordinator, if parents have questions about GATE services.
